Automated Conducted Emission meausurements
The TDEMI system simplifies and speeds up the measurement procedure and also enhances the quality of conducted emission measurements. The line impedance stabilisation network (LISN) is remote controlled by the TDEMI. All phases are measured measured fully automatically. The report generator creates the test report according to the given limit lines specified by the user. Complete setups incuding limit lines, transducers and settings can be stored and recalled by the settings menu of the measurement software’s user interface.

Measurement of Disturbance Power
Measurements of disturbance power are carried out using an absorber clamp that is moved along the cable of the device under test. At each position the complete spectrum is measured by the TDEMI which only takes around 20 seconds. By using the max hold function the maximum spectrum of all positions is obtained. The report generator calculates the maximas and the test report is generated. Complete setups incuding limit lines, transducers and all other applied settings can be stored and recalled by the settings menu.

Measurements of Radiated Emissions below 1 GHz
Originated by the traditional test receiver equipment and its sequential frequency scanning technology prescans are performed to detect only the critical frequencies to reduce the total scan time of the following final measurement. The TDEMI Measurement System allows to improve the quality of such prescans, because the prescans can be carried out now with dwell times that are typical two orders of magnitude longer compared to conventional receiver technology. At the same time the total scan time is reduced for the prescan. Final measurements can be performed at the identified frequencies and positions. The investigation of the radiation pattern can be performed to identify the radiating sources.

Measurements above 1 GHz
Emission measurements above 1 GHz are carried out at several angular positions. At each angular position a complete scan is performed. MaxHold is used to obtain the maximum of all spectra. By the report generator the maxima are calculated and listed in a table and the report is generated. The invistigation of the radiation pattern can be performed to identify the radiating sources.
